1. Introduction
Welcome to Alpha Motors Uganda. These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website, services, and any transactions you make with us. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Alpha Motors Uganda is a licensed automotive dealership and car hire service provider operating in Uganda. We offer new and used vehicle sales, car hire services, test drives, and related automotive services.
2. Vehicle Sales Terms
2.1 Vehicle Information
- • All vehicle information is provided to the best of our knowledge
- • Mileage readings are as recorded at the time of inspection
- • Vehicle condition is assessed by our certified technicians
- • Prices are subject to change without notice
2.2 Payment Terms
- • Full payment required before vehicle delivery
- • We accept cash, bank transfers, and mobile money
- • Financing options available through our partners
- • All prices are in Uganda Shillings (UGX)
2.3 Warranty & Returns
- • New vehicles come with manufacturer warranty
- • Used vehicles sold "as is" unless otherwise specified
- • 7-day return policy for new vehicles only
- • All sales are final for used vehicles
3. Car Hire Terms
3.1 Rental Requirements
- • Valid driving license required (minimum 2 years)
- • Valid national ID, passport, or driving license
- • Minimum age: 21 years for standard vehicles
- • Maximum age: 70 years for insurance purposes
- • Credit card or cash deposit required
3.2 Rental Periods & Pricing
- • Daily rate: 10% of vehicle purchase price
- • Weekly rate: 60% of vehicle purchase price (15% discount)
- • Monthly rate: 200% of vehicle purchase price (33% discount)
- • Minimum rental period: 1 day
- • Maximum rental period: 6 months
3.3 Driver Requirements
- • Professional drivers available upon request
- • Driver service: UGX 50,000 per day
- • All drivers are licensed and experienced
- • Driver costs are additional to rental fees
3.4 Insurance & Coverage
- • Comprehensive insurance included in rental price
- • Third-party liability coverage included
- • Collision damage waiver available
- • Personal accident insurance included
4. Customer Responsibilities
4.1 Vehicle Care
- • Return vehicle in same condition as received
- • Report any damage immediately
- • Follow all traffic laws and regulations
- • No smoking in vehicles
- • No pets allowed without prior approval
4.2 Payment Obligations
- • Pay all fees and charges on time
- • 70% deposit required for all rentals
- • Additional charges for fuel, tolls, and damages
- • Late return fees: UGX 50,000 per hour
5. Prohibited Activities
- • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- • Using vehicle for illegal activities
- • Off-road driving without permission
- • Exceeding vehicle capacity limits
- • Modifying or tampering with vehicle systems
- • Subletting or transferring vehicle to others
- • Driving outside Uganda without permission
6. Cancellation & Refund Policy
6.1 Cancellation Terms
- • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before rental start
- • 50% refund for cancellations within 24 hours
- • No refund for no-shows or same-day cancellations
- • Weather-related cancellations: Full refund
6.2 Refund Processing
- • Refunds processed within 5-7 business days
- • Refunds returned to original payment method
- • Bank transfer fees may apply
- • Contact us for refund status inquiries
7. Limitation of Liability
Alpha Motors Uganda's liability is limited to the rental amount paid. We are not responsible for personal belongings left in vehicles, indirect damages, or consequential losses. Our insurance coverage is subject to the terms and conditions of our insurance provider.
